Former Elks’ Pitcher Picks Up Win for Highlands

Former Pojoaque Elks’ pitcher Michael Garcia picked up his first win at Highlands University on Friday, February 15^th vs Eastern NM University. The Cowboys won Friday’s game 22-16. It was the season opener for the Cowboys who ended up dropping three of the four games versus the Greyhounds.

Garcia pitched three strong scoreless innings allowing one hit, striking out one. He also pitched 1 and a third innings in Sunday’s 13-5 loss. He struck out two and allowed three hits and no runs.
