Historic Day for San Ildefonso Pueblo
History was made Saturday on San Ildefonso Pueblo. For the first time in recent history, women were elected to the Tribal Council. Unlike the past, when council members were appointed, this year women were allowed to vote and seek office. Three women were elected to serve on the 10-person Tribal Council.
