Running Elks Sink the Pirates
The Pojoaque Valley Elks (9-6) showed how important it is to be in shape Wednesday night, widening the gap in the fourth quarter in their 69-61 non-district win over Grants (5-9).
Pojoaque, led by sophomore Anthony Rodriguez with 17 points and a 12 point output from senior Brandon Bustos, now begins a three game schedule that will not make or break them but it will be the test of the season with Sandia Prep, St. Michael’s and Taos the next three scheduled games.
Pojoaque hosts Sandia Prep (11-3) on Saturday a 7 p.m.

We believe in our Pojoaque Elks. We want to encourage them to believe in themselves. All things are possible when you have the desire, determination and motivation to strive for and do them. Believe in yourselves boys, believe in yourselves.
