Cross Country: Sam Roybal and Coach Lockridge Honored
At last weekend’s New Mexico Track and Cross Country Coaches Clinic, Sam Roybal, the leader of this year’s Pojoaque Valley State Championship cross country team was selected to the All Harrier team, which is awarded to the top seven seniors in the state. Roybal finished third at the State Meet.
Allan Lockridge, head cross country coach at Pojoaque High, was honored by being named the AAA Boys Cross Country Coach of the Year.
“I received the award because of the success of my boys winning state this year,” Lockridge said. “It’s a nice feather for me because of what the kids do.”
